Assistant Instructor Course

Become qualified to train Assistants on your farm.  Participate in an Assistant Instructor Course. 

We offer a half-day Assistant Instructor Course for Certified Farmers who want to become qualified to train their Assistants.

• You must have a valid Grower Pesticide Safety Course certificate to attend this course.
• The course fee is $65
• You must renew your Assistant Instructor Course qualification every five years

When you participate in the Assistant Instructor Course, you'll learn how to train Assistants in the principles and practices of pesticide safety.  Also you will receive a kit of training materials and supplies.

After you train an Assistant, you must complete the "Record of Pesticide Safety Training" form.  Send the "Record of Pesticide Safety Training" form, along with $25, to the Ontario Pesticide Education Program.  We will keep a record that the Assistant is trained and issue a training card to the Assistant.  You must retrain your Assistants every five years.
