First Certification or Renewing?
You certify by completing the requirements of the Grower Pesticide Safety Course.
Are you certifying for the first time?
Farmers who are certifying for the first time must:
- participate in a Grower Pesticide Safety Course, AND
- pass the open-book certification exam with a mark of 75% or more.
Are you renewing your certification?
To renew your certification, you have two options. The fee is the $105 for either option.
You may:
1) participate in a Grower Pesticide Safety Course and pass the exam at the course
OR
2) study on your own and pass the exam at a two hour "exam-only" session.
Note: The exam-only option is available ONLY for farmers who are renewing. Be aware that if you choose to renew by studying on your own and you fail the exam, you must then participate in a course, rewrite the exam and pay again.
To protect the integrity of the certification process, you must attend a supervised exam writing session. You cannot complete the exam at home. Mail-in exams and internet exams are not available.
